This is what the Manila Mayor Isko Moreno said in his weekly capital report, Citing that he’s only trying to make the Manila City the Capital of the Philippines to look as clean as possible to help President Rodrigo Duterte in his goal to attract more foreign investors to build their business in the country.
“Ang Maynila ay kapitolyo ng bansa… the window of the country… what you see in Manila as if its the country and it will be unfair for Cebu City, for Davao City, Iloilo City, Ilocos, Bicol or anywhere in the country for that matter,” Mayor Isko said.
He cited that one of the reasons why he is trying his all best to keep the city as clean as possible because the Malacañang Palace is located in Manila, where a lot of foreign investors are travelling to meet the President.
