Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) Chief Gerald Bantag has revealed that he has received thre₳ts in his life because of the changes he has implemented today inside the New Bilibid Pris0n.

BuCor Chief Bantag showed the public that he is not affected and challenged his opponent to try their plan against him.

Bantag also said to expect more officials to go home. “Expect more heads to roll. I know what you’re thinking. You want to ki*ll me? Go ahead!” said BuCor Chief Bantag bravely.



Bantag also received information that someone is planning to destroy his name and reputation.

BuCor Chief Bantag insisted that the thre₳ts would not stop him from making changes within Bilibid area. He will also intensify operations against high-value inm₳tes at Bilibid's maximum compound.

The BuCor Chief recently conducted r₳id inside Bilibid and confiscated thousands of contr₳band items such as DVD players, pocket wifi, keyboards, cellphones, cellphone chargers, DVDs, internet routers, we₳pons and cigarettes. Based on the information, there are still smu*ggling of contraband inside the j₳il like cellphones.

It is expected to cost around P50,000 to P200,000 to smu*ggle every mobile phone inside the Bilibid. They are used by syndic₳tes inside the pris0n to continue dr*ug operations in j₳il.

BuCor Chief Bantag has been in breaking news in the recent weeks over his demolition of booths and illeg₳l structures inside Bilibid. He also sent home about 300 prison guards.

Due to the changes implemented by Bantag, tensions in the j₳il and the red alert status in Bilibid increased. Law enforcement officials also responded to this red status alert by deploying t₳nks and snipers in the area.
