After President Rodrigo Roa Duterte challenged Vice President Leni Robredo to be a dr*ug czar and lead a six-month anti-dr*ug campaign, Robredo's allies are releasing statements defending the VP.

Liberal Party Senator Francisco “Kiko” Pangilinan said it would not take 6 months but to give Leni 3 years to end the dr*ug problem or after term of President Duterte.

“Bakit naman six months lang? Gawin na nilang three years… 3 years na nilang hawak ang law enforcement so dapat lang 3 years din ang ibigay na oras para fair!,” defended Kiko.

Otso Diretso Ex-senatoriable Florin Hilbay said President Duterte could just simply give up his presidency. “Why not just surrender the presidency by resigning? Subukan natin,” said Hilbay.

Opposition Senator Risa Hontiveros compared President Duterte to a student talk inside a classroom.

Father Robert Reyes criticized the President's challenge to Leni. According to the priest, Leni should be an acting president and President Duterte should take a vacation to China.

“Kung sasabihin niya na mag drug czar (si Leni), eh di magbakasyon muna si Duterte sa China. Hindi muna siya Presidente. Si Leni ang acting Presidente,” said Father Reyes.

Father Reyes' defense further said that the Duterte Administration made this issue as a trap for Leni. Everything was planned for Leni to step down as a dr*ug czar.

“Si Leni ay nasa ibaba, hirap na hirap at walang pondo. Tapos susubkan niyang lutasin ang problema na sa totoong lang ay protektado. Eh di sa hulihan o after six months ay papalpak si Leni. Tapos sasabihin ni Duterte, ‘Tignan mo. Ikaw ang may problema. Hindi ka nag-iisip. Akala mo madaling lutasin ito’… Nakikita ko na ‘yung scrip eh,” added Father Reyes to defend Leni.
